Going to spending a few days playing golf, wine touring around Sedona. We are looking to check out the vortexes but were wondering if we need a tour or where to start as far as a light hike. Any information would be great. TIA
ETA: devils bridge planned for day 1

Also, I live like 90 minutes from Sedona and have gone hiking there several times. One of the hiking trails I was on happened to be near a supposed "vortex". Didn't see anything or feel anything different. Only way I knew I was near a "vortex" was because some drugged out looking Navajo dude pressed a heart-shaped small red rocks into me and my friend's hands and told us we will now have "good energy" all our days.
I did keep the rock, just because it was a cool looking heart shaped rock.

Now hiking in Sedona is awesome.
Want a fairly easy hike...Devil's Bridge is a very popular one and a very scenic one.
LINK
If you don't have a 4x4 vehicle you have to park your car and walk like a mile or so to the actual trailhead. DO NOT try to drive the road to the trailhead in a non 4x4 vehicle, you will not make it...trust me.

No I'm not into any of the hocus pocus crap, but we may never visit here again so I wanted to at least check out what all the fuss was about. We are planning on hiking some and hitting a winery tour...are the wineries worth visiting? Thank you for the information

Devils bridge seems like right up our alley....about how much time will we need if we do the mile walk to the trailhead and back?

I would say a couple hours maybe?
Never been to the wineries so not sure about that.
The Chapel of the Holy Cross is a very popular place for visitors to see. Gorgeous Catholic chapel built into the red rocks. Highly recommend visiting it. The views from the top where the chapel is are amazing as well.
Pink jeep tours are very popular(never done one because I have my own jeep ). I think they even have some that will take you to Devil's Bridge as part of their tour.
Highly, highly recommend taking the scenic drive up Oak Creek Canyon on 89A. Just a gorgeous drive imo. At the top is Flagstaff. There is a scenic viewspot at the top you can stop at(oak creek canyon vista view point). They usually have Navajo women there selling their own jewelry. If your wife wants some southwest jewelry...her best bet is to buy directly from the Navajo(much cheaper than in the gift shops in Sedona). You can easily barter with them as well.

I spent some time researching hikes on the website you sent last night. We are planning to hike Devils Bridge and maybe do a jeep tour to hit a bunch of spots for an afternoon tour.

Cathedrals Rock is awesome too and a moderate challenge hike.
Was in Sedona last weekend if you have any specific questions.
We did devils bridge day 1,but did Sedona ATVs in the morning. So awesome driving up all those rocks in the ATVs. Every guy in the pink jeep tour looked back at us in envy.
Wine Tour day 2. We used Arizona Winery Tours. Awesome experience again and they take good care of you up there. Ask for Calvin if you get the chance.
Day 3. Chapel hill and cathedral rock.
They are close to each other. Rained in the afternoon so we did a couples massage at Day for You Spa. Again awesome.
Dahli Daluca for Dinner on New Years. Nice Italian places.
They have Uber there, but not many drivers.
Enjoy man. One of the best trips I've ever done.

Elote for restaurant. Really the only one we loved.

We did Elote as well and enjoyed it. Hideaway House is good for lunch.

They took us to Javelena Leap, Paige Springs and Oak Creek.
All on the same road but different experience at each.

Sedona ATV & Buggy Rental was legit

My wife's family owns a condo at the Junipine up on that Hwy...it's gorgeous up there and can't wait to get back
The last time we went I was broke (wife in grad school living off of one small salary) and I sat through 4 different timeshare pitches to take their free offers. Ended up getting the ATV Tours, the Pink Jeep Tour, a couples massage and a helicopter tour just for making some salesman really really mad when they realized I had no intentions of buying anything.

Never stayed there but I know exactly where you are talking about. I've had breakfast there before years ago. I remember the pancakes were enormous and some of the best pancakes I've ever had.

Wanted to give an update on our Sedona Trip. Basically it was amazing and the most beautiful trip we have been on, based on scenery alone. Will update with pics later....
-We drove from Phoenix at night time which was a little scary, so be careful.
-Golf at the Sedona Golf resort is awesome with some of the best views I have had golfing
-We hiked Cathedral Rock which was difficult but doable for someone who doesn't hike as long as you are in decent shape and not a fat slob. The view at the top(end of trail) was breathtaking and sereal. We took a few minutes up here to enjoy the vortex energy...and have a beer.
-I would skip out on the wine tours, but if you decide to do one Sedona Wine Tours with Calvin was fun. Just the wineries were not that nice.
-I highly recommend hiking Little Horse Trail to Chicken point at dawn. Again it was one of the coolest things I've even done...and I enjoyed a beer at the end.
-Golfed again at Sedona Golf resort.
-We only went into town once to do some shopping because we stayed in the Village of Oak Creek which is cool by itself. We ate at Cucina Rustica twice at loved it both times.
All in all it was one of the best trips I've even taken and thank you for all of the advice, especially lsunurse who recommend hiking.
