Cost is not a huge factor

How did you decide on Bermuda?

Does she have reservations about where you want to put it (the honeymoon celebration, of course)?
What time of year?

I've spent a great deal of time in the Caribbean, so want to avoid there. We're both limited to a week for the trip, so we don't want somewhere too far away.
Also, we're trying to avoid the Sandals crowd. Bermuda seems like it checks all the boxes.

Turks & Caicos?
Not too far a flight, distinctly warmer in October and no Sandals crowd.

We stayed at the Fairmont Southampton. A short walk to the beach. Very nice hotel
We went in late May and the water is still a little cold (one of those cold waters that takes a few minutes to get into).
I dove, a lot
There is a bar called the swizzle inn ( I remember at least 2 on the island). Kind of a dive but good drinks ( they use local rum).
The Dockyard wharf is neat and the princess golf course was fun to play
