My passport expires soon. What is the current wait time to renew?

You are supposed to Renew within 6 months of Expiration so you need to Renew ASAP. Thats because if you live in a Foreign Country like me and you have Visa's like me then you got to keep it renewed. If your Passport Expires your Visa's do also. I did mine at the U.S. Embassy in Manila and only took 2 weeks. Make sure you get Extra Pages.

Just got a new one recently. I paid for it to be expedited, and it took about 10 days.

i know there's an office in atlanta (and possibly other large cities) where you can walk in and get it done right then.

6 months sounds about right.

i paid $20 for a special stamp at the post office and I want to say another $75 processing to expedite mine. got it in about 2 weeks.

A friend of mine realized he lost his passport three days before we were flying to Mexico for a wedding last fall. He had to do this in Houston.

It's pretty expensive isn't it?

Had to do this in May. Cost me $450 all said and done to get mine expedited through a third party with a 5 day turnaround.

I had to get mine replaced in an emergency two or three years ago. I don't think I paid more than 150 all included.

I went in at 10:30 and it was ready by 2:30 or so.

I paid $85 in Manila. The Web Site said to bring 85USD so I go to the Money Changer and get USD. When I went to the Cashier she said you know you can use Pesos. I said the Web Site said USD only and she said we do not go by that.
