How far away is the entrance to Aria from the strip? Seems to be further back than the bellagio.

I'm at the monte carlo right now. I've enjoyed the location. Plus you can utilize the monorail across the street

I've used that bathroom more than any others while I was there

They are solid bathrooms!

So I did a couple of hikes. One at calico hills in red rock and the other was Mt. Charleston. Ate at Kumi, Red 8, some vegan place across town (which was good, and the lodge at Mt. Charleston. I checked out the Jean Philippe Patisserie. We got the flan and creme brule which were both solid.

We ate at Taco y Taco for lunch Saturday in Henderson. That place is amazing if you love street tacos.

You ever been?

That place was kinda chaotic, our friends had to explain how the place worked.

If you just walked in unprepared, you might be put off by the chaos. Not a place for the timid that is for sure

I'm honestly not the one to ask about shows. In the most literal sense, I pretty much grew up on the Strip. I don't care for the pretentiousness of Vegas. I like to get out in the surrounding area and hike, camp, etc. As far as restaurants, I love Sushi Samba at the Palazzo. Kumi at Mandalay was excellent. I had the pork belly roll which was awesome. Red 8 at Wynn failed to impress me.

They do. OP, no offense, chose some really shitty restaurants. Dennys?

OP - How much MGM Grand? The hotels in Vegas are usually known for being over-the-top nice for less than $200 per night.

Like I said, my wife picked out 99% of the places we ate.
I'm ok with Denny's. I've never been there. It was good. It was also the busiest breakfast spot on the strip. I don't need a fancy place to eat for every meal
But I understand the displeasure in the places we ate... It's Vegas... Go Big or Go Home

I booked it through Southwest
2 nonstop flights for 2 people from New Orleans and 5 nights in a West Wing King room came to about $2500 total.. but the MGM charged me about $200 extra upon check in for a "Resort Fee"
I keep getting emails of West Wing King rooms at the MGM going for $76-$99 a night right now

Not trying to give you a hard time, but just so you know, those aren't mutually exclusive things. Good food does not mean fancy. It means good food.

Yeah, the hotels in Vegas are some of the nicest in the US as far as bang for your buck. If you paid more than $100 for the room in your pictures, that's kinda a bummer even if you guys didn't spend much time in the room. You can get a pretty impressive suite at Venetian or Palazzo for $160.

It's ok
I know there are better places
On one of these pages in this thread, I asked about recommendations for restaurants for next time.
I need the advice

That is one of the places I was looking at for next time
Thanks for the info

Do you not eat Asian food at all? It is pretty prevalent as the Asian demographic is where a lot of money is at. You can tell that with the hotel themes. I'm pretty sure you can pick just about any place in the hotels and get a good meal. Plenty of info on Trip Advisor, Yelp, etc if you want more info. I did have a really good Buffalo burger at the Mt. Charleston lodge.

I eat it a little (mostly just the chicken and veggies)
Not a big Asian food fan
I also tried sushi once and will never eat it again
