I've never been to Munich so will start researching and Brussels I love. Will be in Munich in late June and Brussels for early July.
Will certainly hit Antwerp, Brugge, and Ghent again for longer than a few hours.

Going solo so doing AirBnB this time. Also lighter suitcases. Placing my travel case in my check-in bag so I can bring stuff back.

Munich is awesome - lived there for 4 years. Summer = Biergartens, mountains/hiking (can take s-bahn), tourists, more biergartens. How long will you be there?

You gotta find the Bicycle Bar ('t Velootje) in Ghent. Last time we were there, we were the only people at the bar and we sat outside for a couple of hours talking to the owner and a few of his friends. its a really weird place so most people dont like it. And the beer selection is mundane.

Yeah since I'm going solo I plan to do more beer activities and single type stuff. Several things such as battlegrounds that I wanted to see last time but couldn't.

My friend runs a tour company in Munich. Dachau trip/Military/WW history: Taff Simon with Dark History Tours. He can also hook you up with a few great beer guides as well.

Great city, great beer, pretty girls if you're looking for that. Salzburg is worth a day trip if you have the time.

I can't imagine traveling solo. I imagine it would be a double edge sword type of deal. would be awesome at times, but there might be a few minutes moments you wish you had someone to share the experience.

i'm always the planner, and enjoy traveling with my wife. She will just go with the flow for the most part.

Sometimes if we travel with a group its the biggest pain in the arse. Since I do all the planning most people don't know how we are getting to where we're going. We will be walking down the block, and I will be a couple yards in front of everyone, and they just follow me. I stop, then they stop, I could start walking in a circle and they would follow me.

It would just be nice for a change to not have to worry about everyone else tagging along, and if they're happy, if this is what they want to do, when they'll be ready.

If you're a single guy, it's awesome. Especially Europe. Trust me.

Munich is an amazing city, easily one of my favorite places I've been I've been there 3 times for like 16 days total and I hate going back to the same place.

Tons of beautiful women. They have 2 futbol teams so I'd try to get a match in for sure. Look into renting a bike there, its a great city to bike and that's a great way to get around. The Ubahn and Sbahn and buses are great also though. Definitely look into the buses as they are super clean and easy, the public transportation there is fantastic.

They have a ton of great parks there. I've been to the one with the big Asian tower I can't remember the name but its famous and honestly outside of being huge I'd say its really overated. The park is nice, but they have a ton of great parks. Point being, I wouldn't waste time going to it unless you are right there.

Englischer Garten....Chinese Tower biergarten is okay, and the surfers are fun to see once. It's actually larger than Central Park, so have a bike to get around if you go. The Seehaus biergarten is in the park along the water and likely a better atmosphere.

Make sure to hit the Augustiner Keller, that's my favorite in Munich...but if you go to Salzburg, the Augustiner Braustubl is my favorite biergarten anywhere.

Take in a Bayern match at Allianz if you can. The town of Freising is just a 45 min train trip away, home of Weihenstephaner which claims to be the oldest brewery in the world.

This. The only thing that felt a little awkward was drinking solo at biergartens, but I wasn't the only one.

Nah, I'm fairly friendly. I figure I will bring a few things to share with other people and just chat.
