My wife and I both got the Hyatt credit cards to get 4 free nights at the adults only in Cancun. We are a little scared of Mexico right now... if you had 4 free nights at any Hyatt property where would you go?

Maldives
Maui
Paris
Park Hyatt New York

Eta:if you go to Cancun. Prearrange transportation to and from airport (we use USA Transfers, and I highly recommend them). If you do this and don't venture off the resort to any bad areas you will be pretty safe

Sounds like you would like to do an All-Inclusive.

There is a Hyatt Zilara/Ziva (just like Cancun) in the following locations:
1) Cabo
2) Peurto Vallarta
3) Montego Bay

Apart from these, I would only use it in the Maldives. But that is a little far. Park Hyatt Paris, Sydney etc don't really appeal to me. Just like any other 5* hotel. Nothing special.

What about New York? Wife and I are planning a trip later in the year. She's about to apply for the Hyatt and IHG. My anniversarys for the cards come up in April so we'll combine the 2

As stated above, Hyatt Hill Country in San Antonio is great. In that general area, I actually prefer Hyatt Lost Pines outside of Austin. On a river, has spa, lazy river, etc, and an awesome golf course (Wolfdancer) with fun holes and some good panoramic views.

My fiancé and I were gonna do this and go to the Park Hyatt St Kitts for our honeymoon, but they couldn't tell us it would be for sure open by our wedding in early March so we had to scrap that unfortunately. She got the cc anyway so we may go in a year or something, it looks like it's going to be pretty awesome.

Grand Hyatt in Kauai is much nicer than Hyatt in Maui.

Oh forgot about this one. Top redemption in my opinion.

I've heard good things about this one. But check the Andaz. You may like the location better. Plus with SO many options, personally, I would consider using my free nights here a bit unnecessary. Think of the opportunity cost if any. Like someone mentioned above - if you want to go skiing, you could stay at one of the myriad of very good choices in NYC, and use the nights in Beaver Creek instead. Or Maldives like you mentioned. But again - this is strictly my opinion. My tastes are different

I really like your post about this property. The only recommendation I have here is that this property is a Cat 4. Meaning you could use your annual free night here next year because those are limited to Cat 1-4. The ones that come with the sign-up bonus can be used anywhere upto Cat 7. So I'd recommend stretching it as much as possible.

I agree. The Andaz is so modern it kinda loses the feel. The GHK is able to maintain such a cool island feel

Just went to Park Hyatt New York with my wife's free nights. Incredible hotel. Regular $1200/night when we went. Currently, looking for another place to use my 2 free nights. Leaning towards Hyatt Regency Lake Tahoe.

The St. Kitts resort looks pretty awesome...might be worth waiting til it's open if you can.

Haven't been to the Grand Hyatt Kauai specifically, but my buddy's family has a house on the island. Trust me, you want to go to Kauai (assuming you want to keep the tropical atmosphere).

Dayummm...$1,049/night for next January. I'm actually considering this.
Do you still have to pay occupancy tax and resort fees with the free nights?

Someone please tell me what makes a 4 night stay at this Hyatt cost well over FOUR thousand dollars...

It's a 5 star ski resort. Pretty normal for high season. Ski in/ski out, ski valet, the works. Compare to nearby Ritz Bachelor Gulch and St. Regis in PC. I've stayed at the Ritz and PH personally and they're both amazing. Though I'd never pay even 1/4th in cash to stay at either, I highly recommend for free nights.

No resort fees etc when redeeming nights. Awesome use because skiing is one of those times you actually spend a lot of time at the property.
