Range is around $4000-6000. Any suggestions or past experiences would be highly appreciated.
Obligatory "don't do it" and "PIIHB" is expected but hopefully some serious answers as well. Cheers!

Is that including flights or no?

It is. I'm not OT rich haha

I'd stay domestic and not waste too much of your money on flights in that case.
Napa would be a great place to go for a honeymoon.

Huh? You could do a hell of a lot for $6k or less, including flights.
OP, are y'all wanting to just relax on a beach or stay busy? Combination of both?

Jeez, $4-6K can go a long way if you aren't luxury-mad. What are you looking for? Exotic views, activities, beach, mountain, history/architecture, food, wine, rural, city?

I usually suggest all inclusive for honeymoons so I will throw out the usual excellence playa majures or sandals grande st Lucian. A lot of people here also recommend BVI. I haven't been so I can't comment on that area

Even during peak season, you could pull Italy off for that amount.

I'm just pointing out that an international flight is generally much more expensive. Unless you get a great deal (which is possible), you're likely spending at least $1,500 RT for both of you to fly to say Europe.
That'd be 25% of your overall budget on flights alone. And someplace like Napa Valley is incredible but the flights would be much cheaper.

We're looking to do all inclusive and beach with relaxation. Going to do a European trip in a couple years so that's out for this time.

Look into St. Lucia.
By far my favorite of the Caribbean islands, at least out of those that I've been to.

Beloved all inclusive Cancun. Intimate atmosphere with a great beach.

I know what you meant, but I really can't think of more than a few places in the world that I couldn't make happen for $4k after flights (assuming you had to spend $1k each RT).
Anyway, he said all inclusive and beach, so shouldn't be a problem. Only ones I've done were Jamaica and DR. Both were a good time, but it's been a while.

I don't disagree with that statement. I'm just speaking from my own personal opinion - a honeymoon isn't the kind of trip I want to be on a budget for. I'd rather ball out in a place like Napa and eat like a king and buy tons of wine to bring home, rather than go to, say, Italy and have to take a step down in accommodations and all.
But as you said, he's talking about a beach that's all-inclusive. My vote remains for St. Lucia.

I would consider Spain, Greece or Italy. Ten days in Barcelona would probably cost 2k airfare and transfers, 1500 for a nice apt and leave you plenty for tapas/ drinks/ day trips etc.
I went to French Polynesia- Bora Bora Moorea- but it is a budget breaker now because it's gotten too upscale for its own good.
Kauai is great . Maui as well. Lots of deals on both. I have mad love for Kauai.
Closer- Vancouver, Whistler, Banff are great . Lake Louise as well.
So many great choices.

We did 10 days in Costa Rica for around 4K for our honeymoon
That included flights, hotels, transportation, and all our excursions (and we did several such as white water rafting, ziplining, rappelling waterfalls, scuba diving, etc).
Meals and alcohol not included in that amount fwiw...but it's pretty cheap to eat/drink in CR.

quote:Forreal. Lmao. Some of the people on TD are ridiculous. We just booked a 6-night stay in Playa del Carmen area for $2600 with everything included + an upgraded room. No idea what that guy was talking about $4k-$6k not being enough to travel internationally. That's plenty. Get a Costco membership and book through them. That's my suggestion.
