Need to find a course for May, any suggestions?

Tons of good options in and around town.
How good are you? Do you prefer nicer courses, ones you can get shitfaced? where are you staying (north/south/east/west) need more info to direct you.
I would recommend checking out golfnow.com for public listings and price ranges.

Lions - classic public course in downtown close to lake austin. short yardage and can get crowded.
Jimmy Clay/Roy Kizer - newer courses east austin. basically a toss up kizer more of a links course. Clay more elevation, obsacles (they are in 1 complex)
Hancock - 9 holes, oldest public course in texas
Grey Rock - good, long, harder course/ South Mopac
Falconhead - Lakeway area. hardest public course imo.
Pine Forest/colovista - bastrop area. nice scenery, courses not in great condition. pine trees, looks like georgia
riverside- good for groups. east of downtown you can go in a big group and get shitfaced. we played a group of 8 doing 4 man scramble on the same hole. not a ton of traffic. one guy had a cart with no clubs, just drove around handing out shots
avery ranch/ star ranch/ terravista - round rock area, ok nothing special here
crystal falls - cedar park. hill country amateur. hard course. nice for the price
blackhawk- would not recommend, but cheap
river place - hard as frick. west near steiner ranch. long, tons of elevation. great scenery tho. 200 ft + drops and climbs on some holes. big cliffs

bluebonnet is nice, but strict about bringing your own cooler. bluebonnet:
the bandit in new braunfels about 1 hour south is a top public course in the state.
morris williams isnt great but cheap. close to downtown in east austin
lot of good options can be had in the $20-50 range.

There is also peter pan mini golf. 2 -18 hole tracks. $10 or so and its byob. 3 blocks south of downtown on lamar and barton springs
LINK
There is also a Top Golf at the Domain if that is more your speed. About 20 min (depending on traffic) north of downtown on MOPAC aka Loop 1

A bunch of 10-20 handicappers going for a bach party so we'll need beers. Nothing too hard or expensive. Thanks for your feedback @Winston Cup
