Going to St. Lucia for my honeymoon in November. Green fees are included in our all inclusive package so I will likely play 4 times. The money to rent clubs vs bringing my own will basically equal out so my question is how much of a pain in the arse is it to fly with your clubs?

I'm a little snobby in that I prefer my own clubs but will be playing with the SO so I won't care about score, just enjoying myself.

I'm flying with mine in 2 weeks for the first time. I got the Club Glove that came with the Stiff Arm which helps keep the bag from being crushed. I'm thinking that the only "pain" will be to the ticket counter and away from baggage claim with an extra piece to carry.

I don't goff but I am around many folks who travel to golf (or golf when they travel).

Almost all of them ship their own clubs.

Airlines are evidently good at it.

I've heard good things about this. Some feel it's safer than an airline which can sometimes lose luggage.
