Planning a vacation for December 2017. I know a lot of people are fans of excellence, but it seems when you read reviews others seem to think Secrets is just as good if not better. What's the vibe at either of these places. The only AI I have been to is Aventura Spa Palace. TIA

Honestly, they probably aren't that different of an experience.

But, I know a lot of people on here have been to Excellence, myself included and I would highly recommend it. One of the best weeks I've ever had. Was awesome waking up every morning knowing you didn't have to worry about anything but relaxing and getting pampered. My wife and I can't wait until we get to a point in school/training when we can go again.

I have a trip review here for Secrets Maroma... I was there last summer and will be going back there this August as part of a 3 week mega vacation ( Punta Cana --> Maroma Beach ---> Cabo)...... Cant wait. I have a been to a bunch of All Inclusive over the past 20 years and it is one of the best ones.

Great resort, very very nice beach, great service, top shelf alcohol and the food is better than most top end all inclusive.

Wife and I did Secrets Maroma last year. Zero complaints. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Food was great. Best beach on the Yucatan. They have entertainment all day around the pool, but it wasn't over bearing. Very good place to just relax and unwind.
