European airports for flight connections

Good evening everyone, wondering if anyone on here has a preferred european airport for connecting? I'm headed to berlin for work middle of march and will be looking at connecting in Paris (CDG) or Amsterdam (AMS). Any benefit of one over the other?
In my past life I didn't mind London Heathrow too much, just took a decent amount of time connecting between terminals. Not sure how Frankfurt, Brussels, Madrid, Zurich, or Munich are? The one time I connected in Dusseldorf American/Airberlin lost my luggage for a week for a work conference, all I had was an LSU tshirt .

My personal preference: AMS > LHR > Cdg

Ams fantastic airport. Very tight security but efficient and things to see if long layover.

Munich is small and rather crummy.

AMS>>>>>CDG. Seriously, frick CDG. It's a dump, un-organized and I've never taken such crazy bus rides around the world to get to another terminal. Two separate times, they lost one of our bags, while the other made it. They were checked together and we had a few hr layover both times. I've only been through AMS once, but I found it pretty nice and didn't have any problems. I don't mind LHR and will travel through Munich and Frank for the first time in a couple months.

How is the bus at cdg? Would be going delta- air france, guessing different terminals

As others have stated, I've heard CDG is awful.
AMS is great.

Last time I was there, they waited forever until the bus was slam full before closing the door and moving on, while it was snowing. I was Air France to Luxair. They didn't announce the gate until 30min before and then we got on the bus. Pretty sure we went all the way around the airport in one direction, when it was only about 100 yards in the other direction. Needless to say, that flight didn't come close to an on-time departure.

Everyone I know that goes to Europe regularly avoids CDG at all costs.
AMS LHR or ZRH
AMS LHR or ZRH

AMS is regarded as one of the best Europe airports to connect though. LHR is a huge congested mess.

AMS or FRA first choices
then CDG & LHR
Cuse, you always represent the Orange well.
I used to "date"* a girl who's mountain of a dad played football for the Orange in the '50s.
I knew that he knew what I was up to....
He was way nicer to me than he should have been.
*casually see, not steady but for a single purpose
then CDG & LHR

FRA is a humungous airport too unfortunately, though nice. I'd avoid it if I could. LHR probably my least favorite on the list. AMS>CDG>FRA>LHR.

McCarthy but I think he wasn't that good. He might not have lettered. He would have been there right before SU got REALLY good.
I'm sure you've seen SU's 2017 schedule.
My god in heaven!
May the Lord have mercy on y'alls souls!
Safe travels, mon ami!

True story about CDG
Wife and I flying CDG-DTW-MSY. We have to check in 2 hours before the CDG-DTW flight. The CDG-DTW flight departs at 2:00pm. We pass through the first passport checkpoint and are standing in Delta’s priority line to check in our luggage at 11:15am. The two couples in front of us both have travel issues. We get to the ticket agent at 12:04pm and the agent informs us we cannot get on the flight as we are not checked in two hours before flight departure. I inform her we have been standing in line for 45 minutes. She refuses to check us in and of course, I am making a scene. My wife is trying to pull me away as three airport security guards with machine guns walk up and offer to arrest me.
I ask the ticket agent if she dislikes Americans and she said no she does not. I told her the difference between she and I was that I don’t lie. Informed her I hated her nationality (will not say what hers was). Anyway, we have to leave the airport and check into a hotel as this was the last flight back to the states on that day. Get to the hotel and call Delta who informs me to go back to CDG and go to the Air France office to be rebooked for the next day.
I get to the AF office and find someone to help me. The agent is placing us on a flight for the next day and her supervisor keeps walking behind her looking at the monitor. We are about finished and the supervisor asks if I speak French. I told her no I don’t and she proceeds to tell the ticket agent in French that she cannot book us on a flight for the next day unless we purchase new tickets. At this point I become unglued and tell her that she is wrong. She looks at me with a shocked face and says “I thought you didn’t speak French”. Told her I am from south Louisiana and learned French before English and just to continue walking around and leave the ticket agent alone to do her job. Then, I told the ticket agent, book me two seats on the flight tomorrow, which she did.
Long story, but to answer your question AMS >>>>> CDG

CPH gets high marks. That should be fun to try to route through!

LC4, the exact thing recently happened to my daughter in London, Heathrow. Got there in plenty of time to beat the 2 hour window. Got stalled in line and was refused checkin due to two hour rule. And, they each had to pay 150 dollars to rebook for next day.
They had to get a room and return the next day. This time they got there 4 hours early and same shite with line happened. For the last 45 minutes they were in line screaming that they would go ape shite if refused again. They got to counter right at 2 hour mark and made the flight, but they paid for the extra night, got up at 4am and then went through the very stressful wait the second day. So, the entire experience was miserable for them.
Btw, this was Virgin Atlantic.

AMS is great. CDG a few years ago was a mess.

Why connect? When I go to Berlin I take the train directly from the Frankfurt airport.. Takes a little longer most of the time, but a way to see Germany.

Yeah, same here, had to get a room, had to pay taxi to hotel, back to CDG to rebook, back to the hotel and then back to CDG the next day for the flight.
It thought me to be more patient and nicer with ticket agents and gate agents in the states. Well, of course, that only lasted about a month
