Do you share your hidden gem vacation spots?

Have you ever found an amazing off the beaten path destination and downplayed or not shared the experience in an attempt to keep it secret or undeveloped as long as possible?
We stayed in a little surf cabana in one of these spots and the owners were begging us to put reviews on TripAdvisor because none of their guests wanted to share the spot. Any of you keep secret spots secret?

Here's a couple of mine-
The last one is Kinsale, Ireland. You might eventually be able to see a residence there with a LSU flag, at least part time.
