Want to take the kids somewhere different, tired of Pensacola/ Destin. I've been to St. Pete years ago, so don't remember much about it, never been to Daytona. Which city and why? Kids will be 5 and 3. TIA
ETA: They really enjoy the beach but typically we only stay for a few hours each day and go find something else to do.

You don't want to go to Daytona.

Daytona is a run down shite hole with little or nothing to do besides drive on the beach. St. Pete has lots in the area as well as Busch Gardens within 20 minutes. If you don't mind an hour drive you can also visit Lego Land which your kids will love.

St Augustine was a very family friendly town when we visited for Mardi Gras.

They would love this, didn't realize Daytona was pretty crappy... St Pete looking good so far.

Daytona sucks arse. I second the recommendation of St. Augustine if you're going that way
