Hey good people of the Travel Board. So I live in Philadelphia and a few of my friends are trying to perhaps come up here last minute from New Orleans. They're looking to leave Friday morning (possibly Thursday night if I can talk them into it), and fly back Monday. My question is this: Is there a certain time for flights this soon to get the best deal possible?

Thank you for any advice. They don't want to spend over like $350 for a ticket

Classically Tuesday is the cheapest day to book fares but, being so close to their departure, I'd probably book the cheapest they can get now. I don't know if there is any science behind it but I've typically found the cheapest flights while searching randomly in the middle of the night.

Google flights is showing round trips from New Orleans to Philly for around $340 round trip on Delta.

Book sooner rather than later. It will only go up until friday, especially with a possible tropical storm headed this way this week. All the airlines will probably have a waiver for wed/thurs so people will rebook for friday. Book now!
