I remember there was a thread a few weeks ago highlighting some very cheap fares to European destinations from MSY.

Trying to fly my brother to Europe in July. Munich would be best but for the right price he could fly into any major European city and I could meet him there.

I'm obliged for any help; Kayak is only giving me flights upwards of $1,300.

Condor is one of the cheapest but it's still about $1,300.

Late September seems to be a good month to get better deals to Europe.

Depends on your dates. If you're picking the most expensive, then yeah it's $1300. On Condor's site, after typing in MSY to FRA, click on the low fare finder for the departing flight. You'll see if he departs on July 5th the one-way ticket is $329.99. Returning is a bit more expensive if he leaves from frankfurt ($559), but if he wants to come back from someplace like Paris on wed July 26th it's $515. Returning flights in august are a bit cheaper

ETA: Actually, if he wants to fly Delta/American or United he can for $865 roundtrip to Frankfurt. Depart Wed July 5, return Wed July 19 or Wed July 26

check frequently with TheFlightDeal.com.

The second you see a deal book it,because many of them are gone in an hour or two.

Check connections in other cities. You can get a roundtrip flight in mid-July from NOLA to Boston for $215 or so. Then find a flight for around $600 from there to Dublin or London and you're golden.

Try Tripmasters.com...wife and I did a 5 nighter recently for $2200 with hotels included. You can customize your package in regards to nights, flights, hotels, cities to visit, etc.
