Car rentals. Are they all the same?
Posted by LSU6262 on 5/29/16 at 10:50 pm00
I've only ever used enterprise for work. Needing to rent in salt lake city and again in vegas. Advantage has the cheapest advertised rates.
Does it really matter, or should i pay the extra for enterprise?
My sapphire preferred will cover insurance

I've tried Hertz, budget, and national all were the same. I normally would just go with the cheapest one.

I like Budget because they are usually fast, cheap and I like their vehicles. That being said, their employees usually look like they all got fired from K Mart in the Florida panhandle.

Outside of Enterprise, they are pretty much the same. Enterprise caters to the insurance loaner/ local market & and don't have airport locations in many cities.

I go with whoever is cheapest through Costco, or Avis Preferred because it's easy. No issues to date.

Try turo! Its just like airbnb but for cars, can pick what type of vehicle you want from like truck, suv, sedan, luxury, etc.

for leisure, i just go with cheapest
for work i only go with National. its the GOAT
i just prepay from phone and check in once im at airport and i get to roam 2-3 rows of cars and just pick the one i want(keys are already in them). its really fun, however for someone with OCD and can be indecisive, it has been known to take a while, lol
