Friend and I are headed to Buffalo for the Saints game on November 12.

Neither of us have ever been, and we are looking for general recommendations. Where to stay, things to do, etc?

We are going to arrive the Friday before and go to the Sabres game that night. Any information/tips are welcome.

Duffs or Anchor Bar for wings is a must. Sabres game is a good call, loved going to those even if they were terrible . The waterfront area has a few cool bars/hotels and was recently renovated. Niagara falls if you haven't been before, should only take a few hours. If you have passports venture on over to the canada side. Big polish and italian population in Buffalo so you can get some good polish or italian food. One of my good friends is from B'lo, can ask for more suggestions if you need nightlife or breweries?

Would certainly appreciate it. We will be meeting a group in Buffalo. All of us in our late 20's

Okay there's a great brewery and it's near the sabres stadium, but always packed. It's called Pearl street brewery, think they have a tube that's 100 oz of beer. Other breweries: Big ditch, resurgence brewery, thin man. Deep south taco is also good

I'm heading up there as well with a similar aged crew. Good friend that is from the area will be showing me around. I'm planning to get an Airbnb in the North Buffalo(where he lives) or the Elmwood area(apparently cooler area). He said anything lose to Hertel Ave or Elmwood Ave should be good.

I'm checking out Niagra falls on Saturday. Like Cuse said, the Canada side is apparently a better view.

Didn't even think or know about Sabres game but I love going to hockey games.

I'll ask about the bars.

Cool. I honestly had no idea what area to stay in. I'll check out the Elmwood area

Went to BUF last time the Saints played there. Think it was the SB year actually. The game day experience was one of the better ones I've done in the NFL.

Buffalo itself is pretty boring if you're looking to party. Niagra is cool as is the Sabres game, though. Anchor bar is the famous wing spot, but the locals will tell you to go to Duff's or Bar Bill

Buffalo has the least attractive people in the US, btw

We are going with friends to the Tampa game a couple of weeks earlier. I booked the Courtyard at Canalside. I have been told by friends that live in Buffalo that area is newly renovated and reall nice.
Anchor is a must but another place for wings is Brennan's. Great wings and bar. Of course a Sabres game and Canadian side of Niagra Falls if possible. If it is just guys and you have passports the "Canadian Ballet" is a must. Seductions would be my recommendation.

Make sure to do some shots at the bar across the street from the stadium. Also depending on when you go to tailgate there is no need for a cooler
