Nothing in winter park. There is a bowling alley, with a small movie theater at the same place. Stopped in a cool microbrewery, but just a handful of restaurants. Breck town is 10-20 time as large.

How long will you be there? if 5-6 days then either town is OK. Winter park is very kid friendly and has one of the best kid programs in the country. Breck is massive with tons of things to do.

We are usually so exhausted from skiing that our evening social gets cut short so that aspect of a ski town matters less every year.

Out of those two, Breckenridge easily. Winter park has good skiing, but not a whole lot else to offer.

I'd choose Park City over both, though.

Breckenridge is one of my favorite places during the week, and one of my least favorite during the weekend. The lift lines are stupid long on the weekend.

Winter park is awesome if you're move of an advanced skiier - lots of mogul skiing.

Winter park is great for beginners too. Lots of greens top to bottom. It has blue groomed bowls at the top, and the ridge trail on the bowls is blue, but really green. I had trouble keeping speed down it. It's a great opportunity for beginners to see some bowls, and top of the mountain, and maybe try their first bowl.

We are going back because it's cheap. $160 for 4 days. And because the Amtrak goes there. I had a good experience driving last year, but just in case its bad, the train is back up
