Was looking around for a getaway for the wife and I. We don't fly a whole lot, but I have accumulated some southwest points. I was surprised to see that flights from Nola to Boston were the cheapest points-wise on the entire map. It's less points than flying Nola to Houston or Dallas. Anybody know the reasoning behind this? Just curious.

Just found one for less points- Ft Lauderdale(5616 pts). Seems crazy.

Because no one wants to be in Boston this time of year.

FWIW it's pretty mild up here so far this winter.

I get that, but it still seems below normal. Other northern cities are double. And why so low for Ft Lauderdale? Would the airport shooting play a factor into the low point fares?

I don't work for the airlines, man. I'm just saying around this time every year the prices to get here plummet

SW flights to Chicago are typically very cheap as well. I've booked flights there multiple times for less than 5k
