I know Louisiana tends to be pretty flat but are there any good hiking/climbing parks? I know there are plenty of walking trails but looking for a little more than that. In Baton Rouge so looking for between 2-3 hours drive. Also looking for a place with cabin rentals. Hoping for a lake and maybe kayak rental.

TIA

Wasn't this answered on the OB? Chicot is your best bet for trails, cabin rentals, and canoe rentals. The best trail in the state is Backbone but it's not in a state park and there are no cabins. The first 4 miles of the chicot trail is definitely not walking. It flattens out after then but there are a lot of elevation changes at the start.

Tunica Hills is the only place with lots of ups and downs that I know of. Not sure where you would stay other than nearby bed and breakfast types of places.
