Trying to find new and different vacation ideas for the wife and then 5 year old boys.

I was thinking of something Caribbean, possibly staying at Atlantis, unless there are other, better ideas.

Mainly, I was wondering if there were any tips to getting good deals on flights? I did the usual Travelocity, TripAdvisor sites, and the flights for 4 seem a bit pricey.

All I've read and heard is that this is the most over priced place in the caribbean. On top of crazy high rates, they tax everything like crazy and charge an arm and a leg for food, etc.

Consider one of the beaches resorts or check out one of the many all inclusive places in the Dominican Republic.

Beaches on Providenciales, Turks & Caicos is supposed to be a great family resort.

Check cheap Caribbean packages. Have you looked at southwest, they fly to many islands.

We did Atlantis last summer as a quick get away. It's not bad, and our little one loved the kids club and the Jr trainer program.
Decent water park, nice hotel, restaurants are ok. We didn't go to the beach at all, gamble at the casino, or leave the property.
We flew cheap out of ft lauderdale. It's like a 15 -25 minute flight or at least if felt like that.
