Valentin Imperial Maya in Playa del Carmen was absolutely fantastic. Adults only. Just got back a couple weeks ago.

Wife and I did Iberostar Grand Rose Hall in Jamaica.
Property was fantastic, food was fantastic, service was fantastic. My favorite part of the resort was that there were multiple TV's at the swim up bar so we were able to watch college football and NFL games without even having to leave the pool.
We also did multiple excursions (Dunns River Falls and the Black River Safari were both very good).
The resort lacked a bit in the "nightlife" category and the resort was only about 50% full when we went in October. That could be viewed as both a positive and a negative depending on what you are looking for. We obviously benefitted in the service level since there were fewer guests but at times it made the resort feel "dead". If you stay at the Grand, you get access to their other two properties next door but we did not take advantage of those.
All in all, great trip and I would do it again.

Just google Turks and Caicos and there are plenty of them there, and the islands are terrific. Not too expensive comparatively

You should look into Caneel Bay

My wife and I stayed at the Royal Plantation which is #9 on the list you linked.
This was 13 years ago, but the place was amazingly beautiful. It's not a party place at all and made for a perfect honeymoon.

I'd take a top 10-20 list and look at the easiest flights to get there and price. I really don't think you are going to be disappointed in anything in the top 20 or so. Few people have been to many of them so everyone is somewhat biased.
Some of it depends on if you want to scube/ dive also because that is considerably better in some places.

This is very true, especially the smaller islands have really limited air. And don't book a flight leaving early Sunday morning after a Saturday night wedding. Nothing wrong with sleeping in and flying out on Monday...
