Beach Honeymoon Suggestions

Trying to plan my honeymoon for the end of May. We want a beach setting and are leaning towards an adult only all-inclusive resort for the simplicity of it after a long week leading up to the wedding. Don’t want to spend a crazy amount, but also don't want to go cheap and regret it. Main objective is to enjoy food, drinks, and relaxation in a beautiful setting. The wedding is on a Friday and we would like to leave on a Sunday unless its cheaper to leave on a Monday. Any input is appreciated.

I heard Grand Isle is nice this time of year.

Somewhere between $2,000-$4000. If we can fly southwest I should have enough points to cover the flights, allowing more to be spent on accommodations.

That might be helpful if I was going now, but it needs to be in May

...is awesome if you want to visit another country and not even care that you are in another country. It is mostly a place where people go to hang out a resort and drink with other like-minded people. For some, that is grand ole time.

How many nights at the resort?
It's your Honeymoon but the class of your room will dictate hard to your budget, especially at an All-Inclusive resort.
What's your gateway airport (or what's the closest big airport)?
I hate connections but if your in/out of MSY you would be limited to direct flights to CUN, MIA or PTY (Panama City, Panama).

You should check out Grenada. Can't fly SW, but American and Delta both go there. There is a Sandals (if you must), and a few other resorts on Grand Anse.

My wife and I did 6 nights at Peter Island in the BVI's. pricey but it has everything you can want. Its a very small island that is privately owned so there are less than 100 rooms on the island. we went in the middle of May and it was incredible. you can either do nothing and have not interaction with other people in the coves that you can reserve for a day. The staff is fantastic and while you are on the beach if you want drinks or food you can just raise a little flag in front of your beach set up. each chair section is about 50 ft apart so you dont have people on top of you.
They also obviously have charters, scuba diving and snorkeling as well as free small sailboats and kayaks you can take out for as long as you like.
would recommend it to anyone.
Island Website
We stayed in the Junior suite right on the water and it was worth every penny.
Also 4 5* restaurants

I can't give you any suggestions outside of I would err on the side of extra days and do what you want, don't cut anything small out because of your budget. Its 6 months away you can save another $500-1000 if needed in that time.
I'm not saying to go into debt, but I haven't heard many people say I wish we would of spent less money and fewer days on our honeymoon.

Yup, hard to beat.
Went there for my honeymoon, my wife is an agent and sends a lot of clients to that property.

I'll second Peter Island. We had a great time there. At this moment I'm wearing a t-shirt from Paradise Watersports which is the excursion company on the island.
