Anything out of the ordinary there? Going on a 8 day family vacation there. Have a nice house rented a block off the beach. Has a pool. Basically going to relax but are there any decent local restaurants/Bars there?

My first time to the Sarasota/Anna Marie area.

There is a Columbia Restaurant down on St. Armands Circle. Not the original, but it is very good.

Try the Donut Experiment for breakfast.

O'Bricks is a nice bar in downtown Bradenton. There are also a few dive bars in that downtown area as well.

Have fun.

Thanks. I will check those out. Looking forward to a quiet week. What about the roads there? Was thinking of taking my road bike. Are they busy or bike friendly..

Not really sure about the roads being bike friendly.

It's the off season, so traffic should be really light. Hope that helps.

Should have went further south to Sanibel or Little Boca Grande for quiet. It's a cool little village just super busy for a West Coast FL beach town. Clearwater south to Anne Marie is crowded in the summer.

I'm going in a few weeks as well and have the same set up.

Lots of breweries in the area, the stand up paddle boarding is suppose to be great (our house rental came with some, kayaks, bikes and other stuff)
