-Flight under $400
-Cool big city that isn't northeastern or in the south
-Good beer
-Preferably has an MLB team

So far I've been kicking around Chicago, Denver, Pittsburgh, and DC. I'm going to be traveling by myself so looking for somewhere solid for a dude in his 20s.

Denver is the only city on my list that I've visited before, but this time it would be without a nagging SO.

DC is an interesting option only because I know how much time I can spend in all the museums and such. if my wife came I would have to cut down that time by ALOT. Denver would be better to meet people, hang out, etc but I think DC might be better if you truly want some alone time.

I've been toying with a Chi town trip lately. Cheap flights and decent entertainment.

Chicago flights are super cheap. Hotels aren't that bad either.

St Louis fits this perfectly.

4 hands, Schafly, Urban chestnut, Civil Life, Perennial, and a few more breweries.

Weather you like the cardinals or not Busch stadium is a site to see. rare to get games packed consistently like we do.

Should be cheap flights.

And if you're in your 20's like I am you would love Soulard district.

I would rank these 4 in this order: Chicago, Denver, DC, Pittsburgh.

FWIW, I am ranking Chicago ahead of Denver only because you mentioned you've been there before. You could just as easily flip those two around.

Chicago's weather will be beautiful, Wrigley is an awesome ballpark, flights and hotels are usually pretty reasonable, and there are some excellent breweries (Half Acre, Revolution, etc.)

Meh was meant for Philly/Cincy

Just made a trip to NYC in January and probably headed to Boston this winter.

That's pretty fair. Pitt is really tempting with the $146 Allegiant flights.
