1) how easy is to get around between parks/properties? We are staying at Yacht Club - so is it an issue to get to somewhere around Magic Kingdom for breakfast? Or if we plan on MK during the morning and then lunch near the Yacht Club (kids will need to take naps), how much time do w eneed to allot to get there. It seems like Yacht Club is fairly close to Epcot and Hollywood (relatively speaking), so I assume it is a little easier to get around those.

2) Right now I have most of the breakfast and dinner reservations booked, but several of the lunch spots I had looked at were already full. I assume there are plenty of places to grab a snack/quick bite in the parks themselves, right? I.e. hot dog stand, chicken strips etc.

I haven't been in about 20 years and taking two kids there (both under 4) this summer. Thanks for any and all tips!

They have buses you wait in line for to take to the different parks. Wait and travel time isn't bad if you plan for it.

There are quick service restaurants all over the parks.

We stay at the Yacht club when we go to Disney.

It is easy to get to the parks. Bus to Magic Kingdom or Animal Kingdom. We never had to wait more than 10 min, then 15-20 min bus ride. Walk to epcot- it is less than 400 yards (5 min). Walk or Boat to Hollywood Studios (10-20 min).

Very good breakfast on site. Cape May is a character breakfast and the Captain's Grill is a great buffet.

The pool at the Yacht club is also awesome, sandy bottom beach area, about a 150 foot long slide and a lazy river.

Lunch is good at the pools snack bar and Beaches and Cream which is a soda shop type place onsite.

Between the Epcot World Showcase, the Boardwalk, and the resorts around the Yacht club, you have 80% of the best places to eat in Disney World. We eat Dinner everynight in that area because it is easy to walk back with the kids after eating.

If you get a room that faces the lagoon, you can watch the fireworks at Epcot every night from your balcony.

Just a note: if you are going to go directly from park to another park this is the easiest way. Buses do not pick up from one park and deliver to another. So go to bus stop, jump on whatever bus shows up first and go to that resort. Get off at bus stop and just wait for the bus going to whatever park you want to go to.

Absolutely false...

There are bus stops and buses that will take you between parks without wasting time going back to a random resort first.

If you are that close to Epcot , wouldn't getting on the monorail there and going to mk be pretty easy ?

No, you have to go through security and walk through Epcot. Then get on the monorail to the transportation center. Switch to the MK monorail.

Getting on a bus to MK is easier.

Dam is right. You have to walk from the back of Epcot out the front gate to ride the monorail.

The Yacht Club is not a large resort. The bus terminal is a short walk from any room and I have never had to wait for a second bus there. Because it is considered a deluxe resort, the bus drops off near the entrance side of the bus terminal at the parks.

From a Yacht Club room to MK entrance is probably about 30 min average total time by bus.

From Yacht Club to the monorail station at Epcot is about a 30 min walk including going through the back entrance.

A pro tip if you are at one of the other parks and want to do dinner at the World Showcase in Epcot, take the Yacht/Beach Club bus and enter the back entrance to Epcot which is between UK and France.

For the transportation question, we stayed at the Beach Club in march and found that the buses took forever. Started using Lyft and Uber instead and it cut the wait time significantly. Never spent more than $7 on any trip and we got to our destination much faster.

Uber and Lyft are great for getting around, sucks having a kid in a car seat cause it's normally $20+ for that.

So it's a bus? Do they limit the amount of tickets sold for this? How crowded does it get?

It's a bus system just like outside the park, but very few people know about it. They don't limit the tickets sold. The most people we rode with on one was 5 + my wife and I. It's convenient because no lines and you don't have to go through security when going between parks

Re: Uber -

I'm just seeing that there is an uberfamily option that comes with a car seat. However I can't find anywhere that says one way or another if there are any options with two car seats. Anyone know if these exist?

Also, any experience with the Magical Express Motorcoaches to get to and from airport? They actually don't even allow car seats (have to stow underneath). Leaning toward this option to get to WDW because I really don't want to check two car seats and I don't want to bank on getting an uber only to have them turn me away for not having car seats.

If you have annual passes or park hoppers and plan on being there for seven consecutive days express transportation is a good deal. If you're doing a split stay with a break in the middle or only need to use it for hopping for a day or two I don't think it's very cost prohibitive. They've already had one price increase since it's introduction and it does take some planning to make sure you're hitting the bus departure points at the right time but it can be a really cool timesaver if used correctly over a long trip.

This would be my biggest issue. I can't see us taking advantage of this daily since we usually only park hop for half the trip and when we do, it's never at a set time. Just the result of going with young children, but even then I'm not a fan of scheduling out our entire day to the 30-minute intervals. Between ADRs and FP+, there isn't much flexibility left in a disney trip so I'd rather not lose it.

Took Disney Magical Express from airport a few months ago. Two kids 4 and under. Its a big bus with seat belts if you want them. Highly recommend it. Same with bus transport between the parks and from parks to resorts. One less thing to worry about. Let Disney transport you around.
