What should I see?

Its gonna be me and my friend (mid 30s). Will be arriving around noon on a Saturday. Got tickets for the Nats v Giants that night. We have almost the whole day Sunday open. Don't have to leave until around 7 or 8 PM

If I only had one day I would go see the following: White House, Lincoln memorial, Fords theater(awesome), and changing of the guard (must do)

This. I'd also run out to Mount Vernon. And check out the spy museum.

Look into Club Quarters off of I st (I think). On the Metro line, 2 blocks form Pennsylvania Ave, and can get to anywhere in a hurry. My fav, convenient hotel(European style).

Just walking the mall will take you a day. Do the Holocaust museum, it was amazing

Before I moved to DC, I liked staying in the Hotel Harrington. It's old, it's relatively cheap, it's charming. Very few amenities, but the location is awesome. You can walk to the white house and many other attractions and there are plenty of places to eat.

If you are flying out of Dulles, go to the Udvar Hazy Air and Space museum at Dulles, you won't regret it

This is a great suggestion. I went there last summer for the first time and had a blast learning the history of different planes and spacecraft. Would highly recommend, especially as Boston suggested if you're flying in or out of Dulles
