Anyone got any good examples? I am pretty new to development work (about a month) but I'll be doing story writing pretty constantly for the next couple of months to rep the business.

Pretty much just follows this format: "As a role, I want feature so that reason."
As an admin, I want to inactivate user accounts so that I can revoke access from certain users.
As a user, I want to be able to sort my information so that I can analyze data easier.
As an inventory clerk, I need a workflow process so that I can track the status of inventory.
Some stories can expand into multiple, and conversely can be consolidated into one.

Thanks. I had the developer show me and there was a somewhat familiar setup but confusing as frick they process they wanted. Every experienced person is gone. I'm scared!

Seems like a great opportunity to shine. Just make sure you communicate well with the dev and everything will be all good. Kick some arse.

we also add in the Assumptions and Acceptance Criteria to help the devs and testers out

So, I had a coworker who was very sick and on the mend. He is the developer's business analyst. He called me today after being in the hospital for a week or so and he is better! He showed me an example of a story he liked and it didn't look like anything I had seen I doing research. Even the developer had showed me looked like the example above to a certain extent but this didn't. I need to be careful I guess in making sure he doesn't take over the process leaving me in the dust.
We have assumptions as part of the BRD but they make since in the stories as well.
