Question for the Network guys out there
I work for a small company - about 25 people here in the office. Each person has about 2 work email accounts (We had 1 work email and then rebranded the company and just forward the old email account to the new email account).
Because of this, I'm running out of storage.. basically both accounts are holding the emails.
I can't just up and delete the old email accounts because some customers are still emailing them. We've tried to let everybody know we are switching but of course we are some people who are lagging behind.
I'd like to archive these old emails and clear up some space, but I don't know the best way to get it done. My gmail accounts only allow 30gb of emails before they no longer work

What email system are you using?
At a very basic level you should be able to create forwarders so any emails sent to the old are forwarded to the new, then cut off access to the old completely so people have to use the new.

I'd love to do this, but we have payables that come to them... we can't just cut them unfortunately.
But I can't have both emails filling up 30gb a piece!

Well if you set up the forwarders your people should be receiving the emails in their new mailbox.
Not super familiar with gmail, but I am sure they must have a way to archive email to a file to clean up a mailbox.

I have everything being fwd. I upgraded my G Suite account to business.. unlimited storage, but I still need to be able to cipher through all this data. I'll see what the head boss wants to do.

I dont know anything about GMail but should you not be able to export that old email to a .PST file and store them on your local network which would free up space on the back end? In exchange, you can forward email with or without storing a local copy.

migrate to office 365 w/ archiving
use Skykick to migrate your mailboxes from gmail to office365

All this.
IMO O365 is unbeatable for a company your size.

That is a great suggestion.

Set up a catch all address with the old domain and have that forwarded to a gmail address that you check periodically online. Don't download the catch all emails on your server just let them all flow to gmail.
