For me (iPhone 7 user) it would give me the ability to charge my phone and listen to music at the same time.

The Samsung wireless charging stand is pretty handy if you charge overnight and your phone is also your alarm clock like mine.

Being able to just set in on the stand at bedtime and still see the screen to snooze/turn off the alarm in the morning is nice.

I have several devices without a charging port (not phones). What probably remains is the micro-USB data connection.

Wireless charging is woefully inefficient compared to normal charging.

Plus the ability to quick charge phones like in 15 minutes is much better feature. You are going to have that charger plugged in... So why have 2 chargers

Some new vehicles are equipped with wireless charging pads. This would be very convenient so you don't need an extra charging outlet/cable.

This. My Sierra has a wireless charger built into the top of the console. No searching for the cable. No wires hanging out the dash. Just set it and forget it.

That's what I use mine for, too. Overnight charging. Just walk in, set it on the cradle and it starts charging.
