definitely worth it.

I use the tech armor brand.

I have 2 or 3 cracks on my protector and a few chips, so it definitely saved the phone.

also, for resale, the screen will look like brand new if I pull it off.

its less than 10 bucks

IPhone TG screen protectors are tricky because the screen has curved edges, so you have to get an edge to edge one with solid sides or else you'll get a halo effect. Same problem with my nexus 6, but I was able to buy an edge to edge one. Could never find one for my wife's iPhone 6, though that may not be the case anymore.

I have a Zagg glass screen cover. It is a little pricey but it has a lifetime warranty and they will send you a replacement, no questions asked.

My first one had a 1 inch scratch in it that I imagine would be on my screen without it. My wife's first lasted only a month before the edge was all cracked, but replacing a $10 sticker is better than a $100+ screen. I don't know how much damage they are capable of protecting against, but they offer a level of protection that is very much worth the less than $10 they cost.

My only complaint is that over time the anti fingerprint coating wears off and my screen is pretty quick to smudge now. I'm thinking about replacing it, but at less than $10 it's not that big of a deal.

I think I'm on replacement number 5 in a year and a half. They had a BOGO deal last yet on Father's Day so I definitely can't complain.

My wife has a $40 one and I have a $10 one. They both have gotten cracks from being abused when our toddler gets ahold of our phones.

Therefore, my advice would be to find the cheapest one for your phone and buy a couple of them.
