VGA to composite signal conversion help

Need some guidance please. I have an HP laptop and would like to connect to flat screen TV (trying to look at pictures from a game camera at the deer camp ??). I have a VGA to composite RGB cable, but the TV says " no signal" when I connect it. I use the laptop with an LCD projector so I know how to toggle the output to get the signal out from laptop. What kind of converter do I need to add? Assuming this is what I am missing?
Thanks in advance
Thanks in advance

Get a VGA to HDMI. Composite is hideous quality.
