I have access to purchase TVs tax free.
Here are my two big options:

I bought a 55" Samsung 4k at Costco for $699.00 last week. The price savings would be more than the tax savings. I think it ended on Sunday, but they might have something else comparable this week.

There is not a lot of 4K content yet, but there will be more and more.
Do you just have a TV? Game consoles? AV Receiver? Remember that every device in the chain has to support 4K to actually see 4K.

Are you willing to pay your provider more money for 4K content? I know Directv requires you to upgrade to one of the most expensive programming packages to get 4K.

I just play Xbox and watch football. Wife watches tv.
