So I've been debating getting a Sonos play speaker but was wondering about cheaper options. I was looking at the idea USA wifi bluetooth speaker amazon has it for $69 and I've seen it for $50 at other sites. Anyone had any experience with these?

I dunno man, I love Sonos and also have a Bluetooth speaker the UE MegaBoom (but it's also like 200$).

Buddy has the smaller one just called boom IIRC, he brought it to the camp last week. Nice little unit, can be had for around $100. I know that doesn't answer the OP, but I'm about to pull the trigger on one.

Depends on the quality of sound you want. Obviously, a quality wired speaker will sound best. There's a reason for dramatic price differences and it's the quality of the parts and drivers used in the speakers.

A good cheaper option for a waterproof Bluetooth speaker is the Ecoxgear speaker. You can get it at Costco for about $85-90. Online, it's $90-120. Great sound, but not as good as the megaboom, but is waterproof. I shower with mine, and have brought it on canoe trips.

If you want multiple zones throughout your house, get Sonos. If you want one speaker to play music that you can move around, get a bluetooth speaker.
