Tablet Recommendations?

Looking to finally get a tablet and was looking for this board's thoughts on which was the best or the one they like the most. I know the iPad is the trendy pick but they are normally more expensive than the others for the same specs.
I have a Samsung Galaxy phone and love it, so I was obviously leaning towards the Tab (although I have no clue the difference between the different versions)
Also, probably wanting to spend no more than $250

It depends on what you will use it for. I have an Ipad and cracked the screen so picked up a Dell Venue 8 on Ebay for $50 (the android version) and I like it more than I expected to, especially for the price.
I even picked up another Venue 8 Pro last week with Windows 8.1 for $99 on Ebay and it's a nice little tablet too. It's small enough to work on documents in Office comfortably while on a flight.

Seriously, just go to Best Buy and check everything out. Then go online and find for less what you decide on. I was leaning towards a Samsung tablet, but now I'm holding out for a Surface 3 LTE with 128GB of internal memory.

I just got the tab 8 from AT&T for free, they add 10 dollars to my monthly bill and it shares my phones data plan. I seems a little slow with games like clash of clans, but I just use it to casual surf the Web and watch movies. It works well for that.

I'm pleased with the Nexus 7 (2013) and Nexus 9.
If you need something inexpensive this 7" Asus ($80) will accept a 64 GB micro SD card LINK
