I am getting raped by Verizon for 4 phones. $300 a month. T-Mobile has 4 phones for $140/month. My wife says coverage is an issue. Anybody have T-Mobile and have problems with dead zones?

Their coverage is horrible.
How are you paying $300?
How much data do you share and are any of your phones out of contract?
and before anyone else says it, "wrong board"

I switched from AT&T to Cricket recently. They are owned by AT&T. The same plan that cost me 115 a month with AT&T only costs me 55 a month. I'm still using my iphone5, it's still LTE internet speed and havent experience any reduction in services.

Sorry, 5 phones. Unlimited talk, text, 8GB data per month. That's $90 per month. Then 4 phones are charged $45 per month and the fifth is $34. We used 2.7G data last month.

Coverage is great in big cities. I don't know about the Northshore. I've never really lost cellular data, but I have almost no data services when I'm on interstate not around NO, BR, Lafayette, etc. It's a little frustrating, but the money I'm saving from ATT makes it worth not having Pandora on car rides.

I just switched from Sprint to T-Mobile $30 5gb of data plan and couldn't be happier. I'm in Dallas and the coverage between T-Mobile and Sprint is night and day. With T-Mobile it's like I'm on WiFi even when I'm not, it's that much faster.
I will say that when I'm traveling, T-Mobile data coverage is pretty bad when going through small towns. For instance, even traveling home to Nola, I pretty much lose data coverage from Natchitoches to Alexandria and then again until Lafayette. I can live with that b/c the phone signal still works so I can make calls. I don't use data while I'm driving either, but I know many do, so that may be a consideration for you. I just figure I'm paying $60 less a month, so I can live with that as I'm mostly in big cities.

Do T-Mobile's test drive program. They will loan you an iPhone 5S to use on their network for a week.

T-Mobile was spotty for me in Dallas and I live near downtown. It was almost comparable to Sprint except the data speeds were better.
I agree when travelling to Lafayette or BR, the service is shitty. I use data when I'm driving...stream music and go on the internet so this was an issue for me. I switched from T-Mobile after a month to Cricket. Much better signal and data coverage since it runs off the AT&T network.

I just switched to T-Mobile from AT&T. I'm in New Orleans and haven't noticed any problems. The price difference is substantial.

So you are paying for all 5phones on the next plan?
Or is that $45 and $34 per line cost?
Are any of them out of contract?
the reason I ask is because the magic amount of data is 10gb
If you have 10gb then any phones you have which are out of contract will get a $25 discount per line

Coverage in metro areas and along the interstates is fine. It can get spotty in some of the beach areas in Florida like Navarre.

T-Mobile coverage is fine in the metro areas, but it is useless on road trips. I once needed my truck towed, and thank God for roaming on the emergency calls, because I needed it.
