My bill should decrease by $30/month from ATT to TMobile, plus, no more contracts and unlimited data after the LTE Allowances (3GB for me, 1 GB for wife).

Trading in my iPhone 5 and getting a iPhone 6 with 64. Wife will keep her 5s as she's not on a contract with ATT. I have to pay an ETF for my line, but TMobile says they will pay that for me.

Anybody have experience to share, etc?

Please keep us updated on your experience

really interested in how it goes for you

couple questions, where are you located? and where do you travel for work, etc.?

I really like their CEO, I like the free music streaming, I am just waiting for their coverage to improve in BR area before I switch over

I'm in New Orleans. Primarily here, BR, DC and Denver for travel.

I've really done a lot of research and I think this is the move for us. Trying to get my dad to do a family plan so we can all save $$...if we combine our 5 lines my bill will decrease $75 from ATT

Anecdotal story.. Was in Monroe/west Monroe after Christmas for a few days and they had LTE everywhere! Last time I was there earlier in the year it was all 'G' and data was basically unusable.

They still are improving service here as we speak. I just got LTE inside my house in Prairieville for the first time yesterday.

Tmobile is best bang for the buck over a 2 year period but the upfront cost for the equipment is the snag

or at least was for me

I have four lines for $100 per month. It does not have the recption that Verizon does but it is the best bang for my buck.

Actual TMO has been installing their L1900 program. It is specifically for Rural areas. That being said, Verizon has the best coverage with ATT coming in second. I-10 from Gonzales to LaPlace has always been a hole. It is just too costly to build a cell tower in the swamp. They are there, just not in large numbers.

Wound up holding off until tomorrow to switch.

Dad and I are combining for a five line family plan. I was going to trade in my iPhone 5 as part of their pay the ETF program but they only offered me $85 for it. They said that I could trade in any phone in order to get the ETF payment, so I am getting an old crappy phone from a friend in trading that in instead. All in all, they will pay my $185 termination fee at ATT and my bill will go down from $130 a month to $50 a month for service for two phones. I'm also buying a new phone, so total my bill should be about $80 a month. Wife keeping her old phone so no payment there.

Well, I've had Tmobile for a week now, and here are my thoughts:
- It's way cheaper (as in I'm saving about $100 a month due to the family plan my dad and I got).
- The service isn't as good as AT&T in downtown NOLA
- The service isn't as good as AT&T at my home in JP.

But, between BR and NOLA, the service is fairly good. LTE most of the way. And with Wifi calling, the service problems in my building downtown aren't a problem. Wifi at home too.

Overall, I'm completely satisfied with saving $1200 a year to make more calls via Wifi. the BR to NOLA service was a nice surprise given what people had told me about the quality of service in BR.

Another protip: you don't have to trade in your current phone to qualify for the ETF Termination payment for your old carrier. You can just find an old phone in a drawer and they'll give you $1 for it, plus the ETF. So keep your old iPhone 5 and sell it on Ebay (they offered me only $80 at TMobile for it, so I found an old phone and will sell the old iPhone for $150+ on ebay).

I switched to TMob 2 years ago. While there have some times I have been completely annoyed with their coverage when I go to Kauai or inside of a building, the pros far out way the cons. They are working on the frequency of inside buildings and just overall coverage.

I ran a speedtest with my buddy who has ATT. We were inside an office. I was getting 80mbps down and 16 up. He was getting half that down and near the same up. People are repeating shite they hear from others when they say how bad TMob is. I do know there are some holes in certain parts of the country, but they are fixing it and overall, you're more than covered and can use wi-fi calling too.

I did like you and have 5 lines and it's an unreal amount of savings compared to Verizon and ATT.

Plus you get:
-Unlimted data and text
-Free HotSpot
-Free data and texting international. Have used in Europe, Asia, and Mexico and it was awesome to have your own phone number work if you need to make a call or receive one. It's only 20 cents a minute.
-Wi-fi calling
-Free texting on some planes
-From what I have seen, the fastest LTE speeds.

And did I mention the savings?

You just pay it over the 24 months. They don't charge you interest and with the extra $25 or $30 a month you pay on the phone, you're still at or lower than the competitor's prices. And the obvious beauty is after you pay off the phone, your bill drops by $25-30 a month.

I made the switch from ATT to T-mo in early December, and haven't really noticed any difference service wise between ATT and T-mo besides when I visited Grandma in Rural Mississippi.

Tried their "test drive" promotion for two weeks about 6 months ago. Live near Opelousas. Worked awesome in Lafayette where I work. Otherwise, when I got to Carencro and then to Opelousas, only text and calls worked. Data was like dial-up between there and on 190 to Baton Rouge. Didn't work for me, but prayers sent.

I've been with T-Mobile for two years now after switching from ATT.

Service is good, but at home all I get is "G" and it is very slow. However at work I get "E" and it is perfectly fine.

Verizon is upgrading their service here over the next couple of months, don't see why TMobile can't?

Overall, I"m fairly impressed with the $100 a month I'm saving. The Wifi calling is really a good thing, too. I actually get better calls at work at home than I did with AT&T because of the wifi calling.
