Switching from AT&T to Verizon - Porting Question

I decided to get the Pixel 2 and switch from AT&T to Verizon. I received my phone last night and activated my Verizon account. I am keeping the same number, which is being ported over from AT&T. 12 hours later, I'm still receiving texts from AT&T customers on my old phone, and Verizon only customers on my new Pixel 2. Any idea how long it usually takes to fully port a number over from one carrier to another?

Nvm. I called Verizon and they went ahead to finished processing it after 14 hours.

That's a long time. I went in-store to switch it a few weeks ago and it took maybe 10 minutes max...
