Switching from Android to iPhone. Advice please...

most of it is the same concepts. you don't get to install cool widgets, clocks or arrange your screen the way you want to.

it's a wash for me right now. when i'm up for renewal i'm probably going back to android.

You'll be fine once you adjust. Certain things work better. Depending on your prior phone, you might welcome the availability of accessories. Arguably iPhone has higher quality apps.

I've switched back and forth several times. I prefer Android, but I could live just fine with an iPhone.

Of course, you should probably get your credit card and password tattooed on an appendage because the App Store is very concerned about your privacy and you'll be needing to verify your information about every 6 minutes.

At least wait till the new Google phone makes its debut. Apple products are designed for your typical stay at home housewife.

iPhone has features that Andriod doesn't, that and better quality.

The Samsung S7 Active looks pretty sweet.

I have iPhones, but my kids have android tablets. IMO, the apple products just work better, and are less of a pain in my arse to deal with. Some would consider me a step above a retard tho, so take it with a grain of salt.

Fundamentally, Android and iOS are closer than they have been in years. The simplicity and ease of use that was emblematic of the original release of iOS has been obscured by the many useful(ish) features that have been added in the decade since its introduction. Android meanwhile has always been saddled with performance issues and full of some concepts that were clearly half-baked when shipped, which has since been systematically improved.

The biggest difference between android and iOS that has always existed is that a brand new iPhone 6S will get updates till at least 2020, which is unfortunately not the same for android users. And before calling me a fanboy, I do have multiple iOS and Android devices and have come to a startling conclusion, a smartphone is just a smartphone.

TL;DR It's a phone that looks a bit different have fun doing basically the same things you used to do with small differences here and there.
