Swappa selling question

I would like to sell my iPhone 6 Plus. It is in excellent condition and based upon what I have read on here, Swappa appears to be the best route to get maximum exposure and a decent selling price.
I learned that my iPhone 6 Plus doesn't come off contract until 12/11/2016 with Sprint - which means it is "locked" for the Sprint network.
Would I be better served to wait and sell after 12/11 (to open up to more potential buyers on any network) to ensure top dollar for my listing? Or does it really matter - because all you need is one buyer for the Sprint network - and top dollar can still be achieved this way?

Phones, like most cars, are a depreciating asset. The value will only go down over time.
You could always list it now as a Sprint only phone and then if it doesn't sell by 12/11, delete the listing and relist after you get it unlocked.
Are you going to have to pay Sprint if you change phones before 12/11?

Probably not a huge deal that it's locked to Sprint, due to the popularity of iPhones. Are you staying on Sprint service with your Pixel? If not, you'll probably have to pay a small early termination fee, at which point you could have it unlocked.

No. I own the phone. Sprint offered me a discounted iPhone 6 Plus (almost two years ago when they first came out), providing I would sign a 2 year agreement.
My new phone, Pixel XL was purchased through Google and now I have no contract (after 12/11/2016).

Yes.
One phone call to Sprint earlier this month and I am now saving $40 monthly compared to my old plan.
$100.00 for 2 phones - unlimited everything and no contract extension. Not bad. And service has improved on the Sprint network in the last 6 to 12 months.
