How secure are these types of programs? Especially the free versions, not looking to pay. I'm nervous about using them but I hear of IT people swearing by them.

What are the better ones to use? I'm really only aware of Lastpass.

Any other helpful info will be greatly appreciated.

I have used 1pass, Keepass and ultimately I ended up with LastPass.

I am super happy with it but you will need the premium so you get the mobile support and the extra features.

Best thing about LastPass is when there is a major virus it looks at all of your sites and tells you the ones you end to change password on right then.

I use data vault. I think I may have paid for it.

I use lastpass, but I don't pay for premium because I never log onto anything of importance on my mobile devices. No complaints, other than it causing me to be lazy about remembering my fricking passwords.

lastpass.

like it a lot, use the generate password option on all new passwords.

ETA: hated the mobile version tho. Stopped my subscription.

Why is LastPass better than Keepass? I've been using KeePass for years and love it. Just wondering if I should switch.

I use them both. I can keep a copy of my safe on a USB with KeePass and I still have access to key applications passwords if the Internet is down.
