Streaming web based movie to HDTV question

If this is a stupid question let's blame it on my hangover. Is the only way to watch a web based movie through a site like Rainier to Airplay it through my Apple TV? I do not have Kodi. I just recently got a PS4 that has a browser but can I stream a movie through the browser and watch it in HD. Please excuse me if I am missing something obvious.

You can certainly try the browser but I would be surprised if it worked. The PS4 browser is pretty limited. Not sure there is any other way on the PS4 to stream directly from a website.
Your best bet is PLEX but you would have to actually have the movie file on your computer. I suggest a torrent.

I use rainierland on my ps4 all the times. Works flawlessly. Even pornhub works in the browser, not that I ever use it. Haha
