What are u guys using to stream sports content while abroad?

Trying to catch some nba games but can't get watchTNT or watchESPN to work bc its international.

Firstrowsports has entirely too many pop-ups to deal with.

I have not, but thanks for the heads up.

Is this the same as Hola Free VPN app for android that promises to unblock any app or website?

Firstrowsports pop ups are part of the fun. Once you get past the initial wave of them, it smooths out. That's what I've been using.

I'm not well-versed in using VPNs. Do you need a fast internet connection to make it worth it? My connection is slow; only good enough for a smooth low-quality stream.

I use a flashed vpn-enabled wireless router, and my roke with the watch ESPN app.
I love it, but it does require a decent internet speed.

VPNs have extra overhead. I don't have a number, but I'd say 10-20% extra data transfer - everything is being encrypted. That's on a one to one tunnel (VPN). IE, your device and another device set up a VPN between the two. After that it really depends on what you're accessing.
