Which is accurate? In having a ton of Internet issues... When I do speediest.net, it's showing 50mbps which I'm paying for but there's lots of lag during test.. It's not indicative of the speeds I'm getting at all. Fast.com is consistently showing 2-3mbps.

fast.com is consistent streaming speed. It tests the same way Netflix streams video. If it is recording low streaming speeds, then you don't consistently have good connection, even if speedtest says you sometimes have good speeds

Fast.com was built for users to check if their ISP was throttling traffic to netflix.com. Sounds like that's the case here.

might want to add pingtest.net to your repertoire. It will test for things like jitter and packet loss
