So sell me on it...

What exactly is the point of having Sonos if you have a two-zone receiver with Bluetooth (or streaming) capability?

Debating whether I should buy it or not.

Less pieces, not really any wires. That's about it. Simplicity.

I guess I asked it wrong - what can the Sonos do that a two-zone receiver with wifi and Bluetooth capability can not?

If my Apple TV is hooked up to my receiver I can still play music to it wirelessly and even play on some speakers and not the others. Unless I'm thinking of Sonos in the wrong way

I think the Sonos will be as many zones as you have speakers.

More zones. Sonos has really changed how people buy audio systems. Every manufacture is coming out with or already has a Sonos competitor in its line up.

Gotcha.

So doesn't sound worth it if all I want/need is two zones.

tigereye1760, correct. If all you need is music where your receiver is, Sonos is a waste for you. However, if you're like me and you have kids and we play music in their rooms, sonos is pretty badass, even with a receiver in main living room.

Not to mention if I wanna listen to my Falcons get their arse kicked on my deck, just pull it out to the deck and play away. Very portable with just 1 power plug in.

I love my sonos. The more zones you have the better overall worth it has IMO.

It's really nice to have whole home sound (I have two floors) without the cost of installing in wall/ceiling speakers throughout. Plus it's simple to use to split each zone. I also have it set to where it can also play my tv satellite feed so I can hear my tv outside.
