Look up the IP on LINK

Software is out there to scan the IP and see if there is any open ports. Then use command prompt to try and get into the ip/ports if they use default router pw's. Google it to figure out how to do it all

if only people knew how illegal this actually is these days.

and what your describing is more closely related to magic than actual "hacking". "use a command prompt to try to get into the ports" ...huh

what you likely have is an IP address in a block assigned to their service provider. there is literally no way you are going to find out who is behind that IP address without a subpoena from a judge to the ISP.

It's more likely it was an app you used to "Login with facebook"

I got an email that someone logged into my iTunes account on an iPad a few weeks ago. What I should've done was track them with find my iPhone and get the physical address. What I did - in haste - was change my password. The curiosity is still killing me.

OP could report to the company thatbowns the address. If a user is trying to hack people, they might do something.

ISP isn't going to do anything if you report an attempt facebook login. Gonna take alot more than that and they still dont care half the time

I hope your Pinterest accounts are OK!

ETA: I truly thought I was on the OT.
Sorry for the slight breach of protocol.
The point remains valid that normal well-adjusted adult males don't use Facebook.
