SECN on SlingTV

Anyone know if Sling gives you the SECN alternate channel? I don't see it on there, but didn't know if it only pops up when there is programming.

Word on the street is you can watch it via the WatchESPN app or on espn3.com by logging into your SlingTV account. I don't think they have the channel on the SlingTV app itself.

Do you have to have the SlingTV sports package in order to do this?

yes, you can only access watchespn content for channels included in your package.

I second what everyone else said about using the WatchESPN app and needing the Sling TV sports package...
For those who were worried about the LSU game being carried by Sling TV, I saw that the LSU game is, in fact, listed in the "Upcoming" guide for the SEC+ channel at 6:30pm Saturday.

How do I access the sec+ channel on sling? I just added the sports package and while I do have Sec network, it doesn't show the LSU game under the 6:30 Saturday night slot.

You can watch it via the WatchESPN app or on espn3.com. Log in using your SlingTV account.

For whatever reason, when I use my slingtv credentials on watchespn app, it let's me sign in but gives an authentication error when I try to watch any channel. Seems like many ppl are having this issue and there isn't one specific fix. Anyone knows what's up? I had to use my parent's credentials with cox to catch sec network.

Idk but I'm curious to how slingtv performs for a load of people watching football tonight.

Cool. This is my first football season without cable or satellite. I think I have everything covered with with Sling.

Mine too. What are u doing for the local channels?

Used it last night for the first time. It's a move in the right direction, but not the final solution.
I'll probably get cable. It didn't glitch much, but enough to irritate me. And the lag is about a minute to a minute and a half from live television.

Just get an antenna, if you get an indoor one , make sure you place it near a window, if you need to get an outdoor one place in the attic or roof pointing in the right direction....you'll get all locals....

Have an antenna and it doesn't work too great no matter where I put it. Haven't tried the attic, and won't be trying it.

I watched the heck out of it last night. My opinion...
If you want to watch one game at a time on any device you own and save money, get Sling TV and use the WatchESPN app.
If you flip between games, Sling will make you want to hurt people. If you want to rewind to see a play, you will be disappointed to know that you can't. Again, Sling for football purposes will make you want to hurt people. If you want to see the game near-real-time, like cable, Sling will make you want to hurt people.
IPTV is getting better but it has a long way to go. In-game features like pause, rewind, recording, etc. aren't there. Also, the occasional re-buffer or jitter can be annoying when occurring during a pivotal play. If people can accept these limitations, IPTV/Sling TV is a viable choice for CFB viewing. Otherwise, keep what you have until the service matures.

I watched a little of the Minnesota/TCU game last night.
About a 30 sec to minute delay, but I was satisfied. I don't watch enough TV to warrant getting cable and I have a fire stick with prime, so this far Sling with the sports package has been good enough.

Paying for Sling when you could be using your parents login for free? I admire your moral compass.

That was my experience with Sling. I like to flip around football games and Sling tended to lag at times which annoyed.
I got cable today. Life's too short to stress about this stuff.

I had this problem as well using Chrome. But when I tried using IE instead it worked fine, I'm watching the Ole Miss game (which is the current SEC alt. offering) right now.

I am unable to watch the game on the ESPN App even though I have the sling tv with the sports package.
I am watching with the espn app on a roku. When I try to watch I get a message that says "An unexpected error occurred."
After rebooting the roku and re-signing in to the espn app it worked for me.
