Hello. I am not familiar with these devices and have a friend that is asking me to help her set up their samsung tablet to be able to do messaging as if she were on her Samsung phone. She has Verizon as a carrier. To better detail, she wants it to act as iMessaging does with pads and phones. What are the options or ways to make this happen, apps, settings, ??

Verizon messages is the app I use to do that. I like it.
You can send:
Texts, pics and collages, location, postcards, contact cards, recorded audio, 30 second video clips, and it has a "media search" feature that lets you bypass the C&P needed to (for example) post things to this site. You type in the media subject (for some reason Chelsea Clinton is the top option today ) and it gives you a whole lists of images, .gifs, and vids to upload and send.
