Does anyone use Samsung Pay? I just got the s7 active and it prompted me to use it.

I loaded a card and like the feel of it but wanted to ask if it is reliable and will and place with a swipe accept it?

I like how there is an option to swipe up from the home screen to pull up the card.

Cheers!

i use it....it has been pretty reliable for me when I remember to use it. The act of reaching to wallet and getting card is a very ingrained thing and hard to break.

I've never been to a card scanner that could't use it....many times people are surprised it works because "We don't have that." just like the commercials show.

Thanks. I also like how you can load rewards cards to it. Kroger, CVS, etc.

We pretty much use out amazon rewards card so I'm also curious to see how the Samsung rewards points add up as well.

Really? I have yet to find a place where Samsung pay works.

I had good luck with it when I had a Note 5. I actually miss it. There are some scanners that require you to place the phone in a very specific spot but I rarely had issues.

I use it daily through my Samsung Gear S3 Frontier watch. It works literally everywhere i've tried except gas stations at the pump.

Also in the Samsung Pay app on your phone, I enjoy the points game to get rewards for using Samsung Pay.

Yea for old school readers that aren't really meant for this you have to have the phone exactly basically touching the card swiper.

I've been using it for about 6 months. Works great everywhere except Walmart. I get the same response from people all the time, telling me I can't pay with my phone...

The rewards points are a nice bonus, around Christmas they ran a bunch of deals on gift cards, and gear watches, but I didn't have enough points saved.

It is probably the only thing I will miss about Samsung when I switch to a pixel next year

Just switch to Android pay when you move to pixel.

So I used it for the first time at the Texaco on airbase rd I Alexandria. Worked perfect. I like how it vibrated iny hand once it accepted it. I was worried the redneck cashier was going to think I was crazy, but she knew what was up.

It will work at most gas pumps if you insert a non magnetic card(or an upside down one) and hold your phone to the reader as you insert/remove it. I use an up side down fuel perks card or insurance card. A gift card works also, smooth works best as embossed cards can be a tight fit. You just need something to trip the internal switch to turn on the reader so the phone can send the card info.

But Android pay doesn't do rewards points or have the MTS technology that works on any card scanner. There are a ton of places that don't have NFC readers. Samsung pay is head and shoulders above Android or Apple pay when it comes to acceptance.

Are you sure android pay doesn't do rewards?

I have been wondering if people actually use Apple Pay and Saumsung Pay. I never see anyone using them. Around BR at least. Figured they're more popular in tech-friendly cities

I haven't looked recently, but when I started using my phone to pay they didn't. Do you get Google play credits or something now?

I just looked at the Android pay website and it only talks about your normal credit card rewards.

Not sure if many understand how Samsung rewards work, but when I use Samsung pay, I get my normal rewards points on my American Express, and I also get points for every purchase that go into a Samsung account that can be used to buy gift cards, Samsung vrs, watches, phones, etc. You essentially get double rewards for using Samsung pay.

I try and use it everywhere I go, I haven't been to a place that it hasn't worked yet. The points are cool for GC's and you can enter contests etc. with them. A guy on Reddit yesterday won a trip to Orlando and another dude won like 5000 points. Its pretty neat. Points add up quick if you stay in Platinum Status.

Use it all the damn time. You get points from Samsung as well. The best way to take full advantage of it is to load your credit card on it, if they have an agreement with Samsung, and use it as your primary. You'll get the points from Samsung as well as your credit card company. Win, Win.

Oh. Your previous post simply said reward points. You didn't specify Samsung rewards.
