Samsung Galaxy Sim card issues

Has anyone else had issues with their Galaxy phones saying "sim card not detected" And it gives you the option of reboot only?

If yes, have you been able to correct this problem?

No the phone is not under warranty.

I see alot in a google search regarding the issue, I was just wanting to see if anyone on this board has has the same problem.

If it is an S4 then throw it in the trash. I have had 2 S4's with this issue and a buddy of mine had the same issue on his. I had replaced the SIM holder and every other trick I could find online. Nothing resolved the issue.

Ironically my wife's S4 which was dropped all the time never had the issue and still works.

I've gotten this message for about 3 months sporadically. Finally yesterday after having to restart my phone 6 times in a row to call my wife, I decided to make cut ties with the phone. Ordered my Moto X Pure yesterday, hopefully will be here next week.
